I can see the artistic appeal of them, but personally I tend to look at practicality first and most of them were absolutely idiotic in that regard.
not usually how royal clothing works, or at least the practical goal isn't moving around easily or being comfortable, the practical goal is projecting the image of being royalty, important for commanding the awe and loyalty of the subjects

Eh, sure, but some of her outfits would be completely insane to wear in a war situation as the security service would have a very hard time evacuating her
Easier to hide body armor under it.
Doesn't she usually have her body double wear these clothes, and she herself wear the more practical attendant(?) outfit?
It's about 50/50. She spends most of the movie dressed as a handmaiden, but that's largely because the Tatooine sequence lasts so long.
I don't actually remember...
Me neither exactly but I don't think her outfits are that unreasonable considering this.
There's room for a lot of pockets.
