God I hate people like this. Is America really full of people like this?
No. Non American here but I've spent a decent amount of time there.
They exist in a slightly higher ratio than other places but are still a tiny minority.
American here that has worked a customer facing job. Yes. They are abundant.

America is big. Maybe the midwest is full of people like this?
I wouldn't say "full" but as an ex-Midwesterner I can confidently say the population there is fairly sparse for the most part.
