We're acquiring a new cat but as much as I say that she very clearly decided she's ours now. Like we hung out like 3 times and she already decided she lives here and tried to barge on in πŸ™„ like, girl, i know i'm amazing and full of pets and good food, but chill! πŸ™„

My partner who has all our money decided it's worth it to have her get her shots done and spayed and whatnot, so we have an appointment for Friday to take her in

She's a sweet little tuxedo cat baby who is tall and skinny and the exact opposite of our current tuxedo cat, Mary Jane, who is very fat (AND MEAN). We're calling her squidward, our lil squiddie, because she meows in a way that sounds exactly like his voice

Hopefully everything goes okay and she doesn't have any horrible cat diseases. I'm worried she's pregnant, again (she has visible signs of recent pregnancy, swollen mammaries etc) but aside from that she seems fairly healthy

Also i think cats might be racist against tuxedo cats? Like she saw Mary jane and HISSED. But saw our little black cat and was chill. Then she saw herself in a mirror and HISSED, lol

She way prefers my leather furniture.

Try aluminum foil where she scratches. Something about the sound and feel, but it's not effective for all kitties.

Yeah, one of mine is really perturbed by tinfoil meanwhile the other one has been caught chewing through it to get to the baked goods.

If you get a new cat post for her to not scratch i highly recommend WOVEN SISAL instead of ropes

The rope posts get cut and the rope breaks and it's fucked

The woven ones are like fabric and will tear but still stay together. The one we got 5 years ago for 2 cats who use it regularly is only maybe just needing replacement, and it was 50 dollars vs like idk 12-16
