No, cash doesn't. That's the one benefit of inflation. It causes cash to lose its value over time. It encourages people to invest. But the wealthy don't horde cash, they horde ownership and I'm sure that's basically what you meant.

I literally said cash stored in a bank or pretty much anywhere else increases in value
Do you store your cash in a jar under your bed? That's pretty much the only place it doesn't accrue interest
