Breadtube if it didn't suck.
Post videos you genuinely enjoy and want to share, duh. Celebrate the diversity of interests shared by chapochatters by posting a deep dive into Venetian kelp farming, I dunno. Also media criticism, bite-sized versions of left-wing theory, all the stuff you expected. But I am curious about that kelp farming thing now that you mentioned it.
Low effort / spam videos might be removed, especially weeb content.
There is a cytube that you can paste videos into and watch with whoever happens to be around. It's open submission unless there's something important to commandeer it with at the time.
A weekly watch party happens every Saturday (Sunday down under), with video nominations Saturday-Monday, voting Monday-Thursday. See the pin for whatever stage it's currently in.
Actual thing he said "Dialectical materialism actually comes from Kabbalah because Marx is from a long line of Jewish Wizards"
It's like that fuckoff insane Infrared line about Marx being a secret Shia Muslim mystic but in the opposite direction.
I studied Hermetic Qabalah (So the western occult version, not the Jewish version) for fun awhile back, and tbf it is a very dialectical system.
Still a goofy as shit thing to say though lmao
Where's the lie? Where's. the. lie?
Marx wasn't a Wizard, he was a Son of Ether
I thought ethanol was his vice of choice
It's a World of Darkness - Mage reference. A game where all of reality is malleable and driven by consensus and whoever manages to control consensus, their way of thinking and doing things becomes real.
The Sons of Ether represent a movement of Mages that believe in now outdated ether theory, in steampunk shit basically. In my mind, Marx wrote Kapital to try and counter the swelling forces of capitalism that were making his own magic harder to do. I could write a whole dissertation here but I won't, but it is the best TTRPG setting out there bar none ^^
