People talk of this like it was a huge problem that destroyed lives. So I feel like there should be plenty of names.

That's why being cancelled isn't that serious.

I don't think being tried for a crime counts as "canceling". "Canceling" is a social phenomena of the masses getting angry at someone and demanding they be removed. The state punishing people for laws they broke doesn't count, even if the state had to be pressured into doing so

They were canceled before the legal consequences. Being canceled is a relatively mild social consequence. It always has been.
