I have a boat... I feel attacked. :D
I work in the marine industry. It's not true across the board, and it really depends on what type of boat, but it's a bit true. I'm in a very boaty area and we always elect assholes.

Unless you're talking about a jon boat and an above-ground pool, you're probably upper middle class - a demographic not well known for radically leftist politics, the odd exception notwithstanding.
There's a reason above ground pools are the 'Kid Rock' of pools.
