I flew out of Phoenix the other day and they had ICE at the checkpoint checking IDs and supervising the baggage scanners.
I didn't think beforehand what the correct response to them was, so I just avoided eye contact and did not speak to them.
They were unmasked, which was novel, and tried to be buddy-buddy with me, a white dude.
The true white man's burden is having to deal with the shittiest hogs thinking you're one of them.
