I think Signal has an option built it in to disguise the app as something else. Lemmy apps should start adding that function.
Voyager does have a face-id-to-unlock feature that enable. But yeah, a facade icon/name would be awesome as well

From my understanding it does. The only thing is, that while they have to let citizens back in, they don't have to let their phone back in
I think Android in general has a way of hiding certain apps.
I couldn't find the options so I just don't go to the US. Seems like the easier response.
