Tanks in Tiananmen didn't either, the guy just had a convo with them and left unharmed. All you'd need is pictures of a man in front of tanks, no need for the story after, you can manufacture that
I don't know what it looks like when someone gets run over by a tank nor do I want to know, but I assume it'd be a pretty gory affair. Probably not something they wanna do in front of cameras.
