She's not white so no one cares.
A more accurate opinion from the government would be: "she's radical left so no one cares"
Yes, in the EU they don't care about skin colour, you US racist... pffft... citizen.
Is this sarcasm? Can't tell, I'm honestly 50/50...
Well, it is a rather multilayered phrase. And sarcasm is present there too. And yes, I really think that most of the US citizens are racists. Even those who call themselves "woke" (I suppose this is exactly the case: the "woke" US citizen mumbling some racist shit while being sure that he is being super anti-racist).
So it isn't 50/50, more like 4/6/33/23/15/19 or something :)
What about the eu people not caring about skin colour part? Also, how is it racist to point out that people care less about this woman than they do for Thunberg because she's not white?
Lmao Europeans literally invented racism. Who do you think colonized the rest of the world and got us all into this mess.
Just cause it manifests differently in Europe in the modern day doesn't mean it doesn't exist there, and if you truly don't see the racism in whatever part of Europe you're in, then you are part of the racist problem.
Most white people are racist.....including the majority of Europeans. Just ask your average European about the Romani people and you'll get to hear some "interesting" opinions.
Pointing out that international media has biases when it comes to ethnicity is not racist. Claiming that racism is not a problem in Europe, or that European news is devoid of racial biases is racist.
Always glad to know .....and I'm guessing here, that a white dude from one of the most privileged places in the world still think of themselves as the authority when it comes to defining racism.... It's reassuring that some things will never change.
Lol, if you want to split hairs like that..... race itself is not an actual classification system and isn't real in any meaningful way. What it represents is a bias against certain ethnic groups based off of an ever changing list of generalities.
What the general public interprets as racism is unfounded bigotry against individuals or groups of people for simple belongings to an ethnic group. Having negative preconceived notions against an ethnic minority like the Romani people is racism, and attempting to escape the accusation of racism by engaging in semantics is just pathetic.
Lol, I'm a bi-racial ethnic minority living in the most conservative state in America.....You are a white European that just accused an entire ethnic group of being criminals.....and I'm the racist?
You don't get a pass on your privilege because you live in Europe....an entire continent that enriched itself by engaging in colonialism self validated by racial theory. Go kick rocks bigot.
oh okay so you just hate and generalize them because of checks notes their culture.
so I suppose technically bigotry or xenophobia.
Oh sure, a specific ethnic group has a crime issue cited by vaguely referenced 'statistics'. I wonder where I have heard that one before.
That's literally the exact same thing. They don't have a criminality problem as a people, they have a profiling problem and an inability to be seen as equal when looking for work. The only thing perpetuating the stereotype is the widespread acceptance of the stereotype. It is the exact same systemic racism as every other kind. You are indeed perpetuating racism against them.
It only doesn't feel like racism to you because it's the opinion you hold.
But your words are the exact same words, for the exact same reason that other racists use them.
That is the same claim that "racist" in the US make all the time... Simply assuming that a person engages in criminal activity because of their ethnicity is bigotry.
US citizen is not an ethnic group you moron.
If you're being serious, I think you share a widely held misconception around what "racism" is. The Romani are an ethnic group and you're saying "we" hate them (you could just stop here as anything beyond this is just rationalisation), not because of their ethnic group, but because of criminality within that ethnic group. That doesn't really make sense, if you think about it.
