Pah! Last election my local election booth had CAKE STALLS! I will have first dibs on the first passionfruit/cream sponge I see! Plus sossiges of course but compared to a nice passionfruit sponge .... no contest!
It's a great way to raise money, I don't know why more places don't do it.
The Big Green Store mafia puts in the boot in on them I reckon.
I have one literally over the road with sausage and cake stall. It's a good day for democracy
My local polling areas don't have anything ๐I have been known to visit a neighbouring suburb in the electorate who's local school knows how to do it right and vote there. Sossig and cake stall, come to mumma!
