About a mile to the nice grocery, maybe 8 blocks to the nearest big grocery but neither is between my work and home, so never get to just pick up food on the way home. I don't actually drive to those, take the bike (carefully ) or walk. Weekly we do drive, to the really nice grocery, that's about 5 miles, because it's in a complex where we can stop and have a drink or supper before shopping.
