cute but please do not feed wildlife, especially wildlife that could have rabies
Generally good advice. Fortunately, opossums are almost completely immune to rabies: https://petshun.com/article/is-opossum-immune-to-rabies

but yeah they can have other diseases and attack humans / pets. i know a lady that used to feed grizzly bears (!?!?) and was surprised when one killed her dog
