It was a corrupted image that crashed the site a few years ago. The admins had to disable image uploads while they fixed it

It wasn't quite a you had to be there thing but logging in after the outage and discovering that "oh of course one of us ploaded a server exploding huge corrupted image of a juche soldier" was one of the funniest things that I've bore witness to on the internet

I think the posters reasoning was something like "I was just curious what would happen". Powerful stuff

The original resolution was absolutely insane and it was corrupted on top of it
