That whole comm is total brain damage. There's like 3-4 power users who come up with the worst DNC memes that are basically just paid trolls. I suspect they make their memes deliberately poorly to get more engagement. And then there's the masses that understand that both candidates are pro-genocide and still think voting is the most important thing.
The nuance meme editor is utterly psychotic.
I have been accused of being a Russian troll so many times that I involuntarily gag when I see it used against someone else, but honest to God I have no alternative theories for some of them. They seem to have intimate state department knowledge of revolutionary activity in the red sea but somehow have no idea why the US is so interested in keeping Israel as an ally.
Its like what I imagine waterboarding would feel like.
Its election season and paid troll farms are a thing in the US too. It could also be that they're self organized on some discord or matrix room. Either way they behave identically to shills.

In a way they're running the ML playbook to try to purge Lemmy of any leftism. You see the same tactics. Their nuanced rational for on Biden is "yes he's doing genocide but Trump will do more genocide so Critical Support for Biden. And then, of course, silence any criticism of Biden, because that's counter productive to supporting Biden.
