As I was looking at a local municipality's "Community Strategic Plan", they listed some "Top Achievements" for the previous year.

Among them was "Increased bike lanes by 1.01km in 2023."

I mean, seriously? A whole kilometre that was split between two different projects?! /s

Anyone else feel like their municipality is simply doing the bare minimum for cyclists so they can pat themselves on the back?

Summary

European and US shipowners have sold at least 230 aging tankers to Russia’s "shadow fleet," allowing it to evade sanctions and fund the Ukraine war, an investigation reveals.

Greek firms led the sales, with UK, German, and Norwegian companies also involved, collectively earning over £4.8bn.

Many tankers were reflagged and used to transport Russian oil despite sanctions. The EU and US have tightened regulations, sanctioning some vessels.

However, opposition from shipping-heavy nations like Greece has prevented an outright ban on such sales.

He's just going to get people killed. But that's ok he doesn't give a shit anyways, so it's moot. What are a few thousand dead peasants when we could make big stock number go up?

China's finance ministry announced the measures in response to 10% tariffs on Chinese products imposed by President Trump's administration, which took effect Tuesday.

China's government would impose 15% tariffs on U.S. coal and LNG starting this coming Monday, per a finance ministry statement.U.S. crude oil, agricultural machinery, large-displacement cars and pickup trucks would face 10% tariffs.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has said tariffs "will only raise prices for American families and upend supply chains."China's government said Trump's action "seriously violates the rules of the World Trade Organization" and it's announced plans to file a legal complaint with the WTO.

The WTO's dispute system has been hampered since 2019 when the first Trump administration blocked the appointment of judges.
