Samsung Smart TV owners can now use Jellyfin natively, as the open-source media server is now available on the Tizen platform.

Another option I considered is a form to mail script. I thought that this is a common use case and something would already exist, haha.

I want to create an online petition that collects info from people who sign it and then sends an email from them to email account/accounts that I designate. Can anyone suggest one?

I have a homelab running docker, so preferably running via Docker Compose.

Thanks!

Let’s recognize the significance of this historic move. Schedule III is overdue, and it will matter for patients, researchers and businesses that have shouldered an absurd tax burden for too long. But we cannot let a single Oval Office photo op stand in for justice.

If this rescheduling is to mean anything, it must be the beginning of a second wave of reform, not the end of the story. Until the last nonviolent cannabis prisoner is free —and until a weed charge no longer shadows a person’s life—the war on pot isn’t over. It’s just wearing a better suit.

I use qBitController to manage downloads on my home computer from my Android device.

Do you want something to download onto your android device? I thought LibreTorrent was fine 🤷

It has to be approved in both houses and be signed by the Governor to become law. So far it has passed the New Hampshire State House.

Not increasing funding is not a cut. In fact, the schools will still get more money every year. 🙂

In the period from 2001-2024, per pupil spending in New Hampshire has doubled on an inflation-adjusted basis, but test scores have remained the same... https://jbartlett.org/2025/06/per-pupil-spending-in-nh-nearly-doubles-from-2001-2024-as-district-public-schools-spend-1-25-billion-more-on-54000-fewer-students/

We still have to pay federal income tax. There is no state income tax.

Yes we have public schools and hospitals, yes we pave our roads. I think a lot of people have been led to believe it is either or, but it turns out when taxes are lowered, government starts prioritizing their spending better.

We have a lot of taxes for specific uses, where only tbe user pays it: a tax on liquor, toll roads, a tax on gambling profits and a tax on hotel stays.  None of these are essential goods or services. So if you don't use them, you don't pay it. 🙂

New Hampshire has no sales tax either. At the local level we have property tax.  We also collect a decent amount of money from toll roads, a tax on liquor, a tax on gambling profits and a tax on hotel stays and restaurants.  Oh and there is a payroll tax.

As you can see, we rely more on user fees than broad based taxes.  The way to lower your taxes is to not partake in these services.

As you mentioned, both income and sales tax are basically a tax on living your normal life.

You're right. There's still work to do!

Weed is legal for medical use, and a bill for recreational use passed the house this year, but it died in the Senate.

Also, there is legislation to cap property taxes at the rate of inflation.

The devs at SearXNG have a bot that regularly scans the public instances for changes to the source code and delists them as a public instance if it's altered.

If you go to https://searx.space/, they show the results of the scans for each instance.

The software is free and open source. You are encouraged to inspect the code yourself to make sure no data is collected!

Here is the source code:

There is also a list of publicly operated SearXNG instances at https://searx.space/. We host the one at https://search.freestater.org/, and there are plenty of other good ones.
