Be aware that not everyone in the list has to be involved. Daniel Stenberg lead dev of curl is in there multiple times. I believe as part of the provided licenses.

Are those sheds really cozy inside? Please tell me they are.

Awesome render! I am just a bit scared the sheds are not that wind proof.

Spill the beans! What distro are you running?

Thank you for the link, had a conversation the other day talking about what our game plan is when search engines become even more useless. I feel we really go full circle with this one.

Here is an active codeberg repo curating german Amazon alternatives: https://codeberg.org/phranck/Amazon-Alternativen

Oh, I have never heard of that. Also forgot that he was still around when OW2 launched. Still believe it sucks big time to see a project go down this route especially after being such a big success. It might not be dead, but it definitely is just a shell of its past.

Overwatch is close to being a decade old btw.

It’s so unfortunate what they did to Overwatch, wonder how Jeff Kaplan and the original Team feels about all that.

It is. After development broke down in 2022 development is more active than it ever was. https://blogs.igalia.com/mrego/servo-2025-stats/ I have a binary on my machine and use it for light browsing every now and then just to check in how things are going. Its "usable" for that but would not use it for banking even if it worked.

Love the question! Urban infrastructure. At least in my city. I get super stocked whenever I see a new construction site. Not only because I get the feeling that the tax money is actually being used but also because these projects are more often than not really cool. Wider pedestrian spaces, third places and just safer more pleasant areas. Sometimes they only do it half heartedly and didn’t thought about something but the direction is the right one. Of course this is easily done especially considering how hostile they made city’s after ww2, i’m still happy about it though. :)

Some relatives still have it, it’s filled to the brim with advertisements which i guess if the catch. I mean the web interface is, you don’t have it when using imap of course. It’s still a dealbreaker for me.

Not really from the grounds up as it uses WebKit.

Used it very shorty on a mac, but as it really is very similar to safari there is little to no reason to use it.

On a linux maybe, but i think i will stay on firefox until servo is usable. (Which is actually being made from the grounds up)

The other day i have noticed a similar easter egg when typing in “podman”. It’s interesting as podman is fairly niche.

In 2021, Hara partnered with Xiaomi, designing a new logo for the company, which was unveiled on 31 March 2021. Hara and his company converted the previous square logo into a combination of a square and a circle. He earned $300,000 from the project.

Transit Exit to an Highway (media.piefed.social)

Ever looked for the exit to your nearest highway? Its from the latest NotJustBikes about the newest MRT in Toronto. It really is bizarre. Like it was almost intentionally bad just to make an example. Threw a bunch of money and stupid regulations to be able to point to and never have to deal with public transport ever again.

AGDQ 2026 Schedule (gamesdonequick.com)
submitted 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) by vogi@piefed.social to c/games@lemmy.world

The world is pretty fucked up right about now. You all deserve a break. Go grab your favorite snacks, sit back and enjoy some games being done quick.

If you somehow never heard of it. It is a week long speedrun marathon with different runners attending showcasing their skills of beating a game as quickly as possible. Donations go partially to different charities, though if you care about that you can just donate directly to the organizations. It is a great event though.

Some of my favorites on the schedule:

  • Once Upon A KATAMARI

Never saw a Katamari Game done quick, and only now got curious how they tame the wonky physics. Love Katamari games too.

  • Mario Kart World

Always liked mario kart speedruns with its ultra short cuts. I will never own a switch 2 though and somehow managed to not see a single track of world so I will just take the opportunity to watch it "all" here and see how broken it is after the relatively short time after its release.

  • The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time vs. Majora's Mask (Blindfolded)

I am not sure what the "vs. MM" is all about. Never played MM actually so I hope I can watch this without being spoiled. Really like Bubzias Blindfolded SM64 runs. Reminds me of when I tried to play "The Impossible Game" blindfolded and though its a rythm game I have failed so bad. It is so much harder than it looks.

I feel like a lot of times the most interesting speedruns are of lesser known titles which are completely broken and taken apart by the runners. I really do not know where to start though. I will probably just tune in from time to time.

Do you have any runs you looking forward to see?
