Our wetware neutral networks probably aren't supposed to engage with synthetic content like this either. In a few years we're gonna learn that overexposure to AI generated content creates some sort of neurological problem in people, like a real-world "nerve attenuation syndrome" (Johnny Mnemonic).

It's called being let go with a warning. It's letting you know your threats are being taken seriously, and that consequences are coming if you don't stop.

And what has he done since? Gone back online and said that killing Kamala Harris is constitutionally protected because of the Second Amendment... (It is not)

I hope they arrest him, because making terroristic threats is, in fact, a crime.

Yes, I am absolutely okay with this. Violent threats and calls for murder are not protected speech, and there should be legal consequences for them. Free speech is not absolute.

Anyone who wants to fix this can help fix it, but people are just making demands of an unpaid maintainer. The devs can run this project the way they want to. If you don't like it, don't use Ventoy.

The people comparing this to the xz exploit are out of line. xz was a library that was deeply embedded in a lot of software. Ventoy is an IT tool used to boot live OSes. Not even remotely the same attack surface.

Blobs in the source tree are not ideal, but people need to pick their battles.

they completely abandoned everything they ran on

First and foremost, no she didn't. She's still one of the most progressive members of Congress, and she continues to fight for realistic progressive policies including universal healthcare, free college, and housing as a human right.

You're welcome to disagree though. Move to her district so you can campaign and vote against her if it really matters to you. Her district keeps reelecting her (82.2% of the vote this year) so I guess she presently represents them quite well.

Or, if relocating so that you get a say in AOC's representative abilities isn't a part of your game plan, consider campaigning for the kind of representation you want to see for your current congressional district. Take a stand where you actually get a voice.

But your constant opposition to Democrats, two months away from an election where Fascism is knocking at the door, isn't helpful. If your goal is a progressive future, you need to be paying attention to what's on the line right now. If your priority is to purity test Liberals instead of campaigning against Fascist Republicans like lives depend on it (they do), then you've completely lost the plot.

One side (R) is starting Pograms and threatening genocide against millions of immigrants. The other (D) doesn't promise your ideal leftist utopia. Think hard about which of these concessions you're willing to accept as you continue constantly attacking Democrats with nobody lined up to replace them but Republicans.

As far as I can tell, The Harris/Walz campaign hasn't officially responded to this endorsement. Are you getting mad about stuff that hasn't even happened?

Believe it or not, the Harris/Walz campaign doesn't orchestrate endorsements. Anyone can endorse a candidate with or without that candidate's knowledge, permission, or acknowledgement.

Harris may be getting the endorsement of old-school/moderate Republicans, but Trump has the endorsement of extremist/far-right Republicans and Neo-Nazis.

If you can't pick a side here, that's entirely your own moral failure.

The Guardian is a newspaper. They are just covering the news.

Other outlets are covering this also, including conservative ones.

You are way too eager to find a conspiracy here... I promise you, this British newspaper isn't run by and for American Democrats.

If you read the article (or even just the headline) you'll see that she isn't campaigning against the 13th amendment's punishment clause. She's campaigning on abolishing subminimum wages for the disabled.

With this lie escalating to violent threats against the Haitian community, we perhaps need to put a pause on joking about this insidious hoax. They are trying to start a race war, and memes likely aren't helping.

Who is that woman on the right? Are we supposed to recognize her or something?

That "uncensored" HuggingFace Space probably isn't even hooked up to a real GPU. It's just some guy named Bob eager to narrate your sexual fantasies.

He looks like his parents.
