I was kinda shocked that they:

  • got it out so quickly
  • went that hard

As an American, I'm worried that Starmer's legacy is going to be giving you PM Nigel Farage.

In a way that can't really be described to Europeans. If you live in a suburban area, people think you're weird if you do anything other than use your car to get anywhere for any reason. Almost everywhere in the US is designed around the idea that you have a car and you use it every day.

This is about my city:

And it's absolutely true. Our buses are mostly useful for driving to a Park & Ride/Transit Center and then to work and back. That's about it.

It was never controlled by a single person to begin with.

The computer program called Mastodon was (and still is for now) completely controlled by Eugen Rochko. In the future it will be controlled by a non-profit.

See this and this for more info.

The thing about Seinfeld and other comedians who aren't as popular anymore is that they blame the audience for not liking their material. Tastes change over time. The comedian either needs to change their act or live with the consequences that people aren't going to like their material as much.

Rodney Dangerfield was a great comic for his time. If someone tried to tell the same jokes today, I don't think he'd get very far. That's not the fault of the audience. It's the fault of the comedian. No one owes you a laugh.

We feel shame at being naked because people have told us to be ashamed of certain areas of our body. It's completely learned. Very young children run around without clothes on with no shame because they haven't learned it yet.

The code has always been the easy part. The hard part is getting requirements that make sense. It will continue to be the case with bots doing the coding.
