O que acham do formato?

Tô tentando entender a relevância e me situar.

It doesn't, though.

The problem is the institution, not the nice people that think being a cop is a good way to make societies better.

There's shitty cops, and the command chain that does nothing about it. That's the problem.

Antagonising common peoples dads, and the people trying to be nice cops, and failing, is not the way.

We have to point at the right problem. And if you point at the corrupt chain of command nice cops will back you up.

Let's see for how long they manage to keep calling China the No 2 economy of the world.

Any chance it was hacked?

I don't think 42 upvotes represent how historical is that speech. Am I being too optimistic?

I'm impressed to see the spike in pro Palestinian news on their all section, though.

Comments are also mostly on the healthy side, too.

Just... very interesting dynamics going on.

Thank you for keeping this place sane.

You disregard completely the Internet funnels.

First thing, people have to be aware. From those, some people will dig deeper. We need awareness, memes have a chance to help.

We have to occupy all media spaces, including Internet memes. If it gets someone to ask and Google "what did they mean by we only have our shackles to loose", that's huge.

Right wing has classic sculptures -> targeted right wing news -> fascism. We need something similar.

I didn't expect to see The Economist dumping on European establishment interests. Fun!

They know that when the fade passes away, we will still be here, strong. :)

I hope people will realise very soon that the only civilised places will be the ones that make a point of federatimg with lemmygrad, with heavy moderation.

Then, if lemmy.ml and/or lemmygrad fails (allegory to ussr, Moscow), we will have to learn from those experiences and try a few new ones (allegory to Cuba, dpkr, laos) to figure out how to build something nice.

And then maybe some big instance will emerge (allegory to China), carrying lemmy and lemmygrad ideals, slightly off, but possibly with a better understanding of the internets inherent characteristics. And they will be criticised for dishonoring the legacy by people that didn't bother to build their own instance.

That's my humble forecast (and a joke, explanation in parenthesis) slightly inspired by history. Good luck to us all.
