Earlier this week, Mr Gibson-Burrell's grandmother Joan Bell told the court that she would offer him a place to stay in Geelong and could supervise a nightly curfew. "It's my house, my rules," she told the court. "I don't believe everything in the media about some of this behaviour. "It's not the grandson I know, so that's a bit foreign to me."

The court was told two businesses were considering offering Mr Gibson-Burrell work, and another friend was willing to put up a $30,000 surety to secure his release.

Jack Gibson-Burrell, 21, arrived at court on Thursday wearing a Spider-Man mask, then later exited wearing a full-body costume, flanked by his defence lawyer Micky Milardovic.

He crouched down and posed for cameras, before running down the street, appearing to attempt to scale CBD buildings.

Additionally, according to court documents, he has been charged with assault, behaving in a riotous manner at the Emporium shopping centre, trespass, damaging train carriages and abseiling a building more than 30 metres in height.

dudes rocking is apparently illegal in australia

Mr Gibson-Burrell has also been charged with damaging a "building of cultural significance with a vintage Uncle Tobys advertisement on it", with the alleged damage to the tune of $99,110.

anybody remember the bodycam video of the two American mercenaries who were in "blocking" positions to prevent the Ukrainian conscripts from running, and two conscripts came towards them, they started yelling commands (in english!) at the Ukrainians, and then one of them shot the American without the body cam, and then shot the one with the body cam, and then made sure they were dead so they could escape?

It would be satisfying if China sanctioned Europe to prohibit dual use technology export and used the reasoning that Europe is a garden and should be kept that way. Just outright tell Europe you're just an ignorant backwater, stop trying to be something you're not (a world power of any significance).

“The objective is not to cut China off from technology forever,”

Good, because that won't be the outcome either

I call that a good start

Bought a rusty old rack, shortened and widened it to fit my old Toyota so I can carry some old used necky kayaks. Projects are fun.

youtube's algorithm actually did something cool and showed me this

I got food poisoning and ended up going to the ER last night because I lost control of my upper body. Apparently hyperventilation (while puking my guts out) can reduce the amount of CO2 in your blood stream, making your blood mildly acidic. Before I went to the hospital I was laid out on the ground, unable to control my arms which were partially bent with my hands balled into tight painful fists. Thought I was dying.

So, pro tip, if you're ever hyperventilating and your upper body gets tingly and starts to cramp up, try your hardest to regulate your breath.
