Enclosure of Culligan Water Park to provide year-round aquatic services, expanding from 3 months to 12 months per year. It is anticipated that this initiative would add 0.75 aquatic service capacity and could be implemented in the short to medium term based on cost and financing. This initiative supports additional community use but will not be able to accommodate any competitive use.

...

Recommendation:

That Council endorse the enclosure of the Culligan Water Park to make it a year-round facility based on the concepts with open space and glazing attached as Exhibit A to Report Number 24- 002; and

That Council approve a budget of $25.1M for the Culligan Water Park enclosure to be funded by $5.0M in development charges, $5.1M in Municipal Capital Reserve Fund and $15.0M in debt issuance;

The first half was great. Unique, funny, and great production design. Then they went back to Barbie Land and the plot got super muddy.

I'm pretty hazy on what Ken might have learned over the course of the film or what Ruth Handler was trying to convey in the end.

AppLovin? What kind of a stupid name is that? What, are they trying to be an Irish R&B singer?

From Dusk Til Dawn. I actually quite enjoyed the unexpected about-face in genre midway through the film, however.

It's refreshing to read about a celebrity feud and then have an improved opinion of everyone involved.

Take your time, RCMP. We don't have another election until 2026, and there are too many forgetful voters who will gloss over this event if it ends now with Amato's resignation.

Beer in the trailer, beer in the screen grabs, character has left radio and moved back to Boston...

Shit, is Frasier buying the bar from Cheers?

Housing Minister Sean Fraser says the federal government should have never got out of the housing business even as high-income professionals are struggling to find affordable housing.

"For the better part of the last half century, federal governments of different partisan stripes, by the way, liberal and conservatives, have stepped away from forwarding affordable housing in this country," he said. "That should never have happened, but it did."

Talk is cheap, but it's refreshing to see the new Housing Minister broach the issue of the feds building housing. AFAIK, landlord Ahmed Hussen never discussed this in his tenure as Housing Minister.

I guess we'll see if there's any meaningful action from him before the next person takes his seat.

This could be an interesting move. If you're wondering what it might look like, this video from the City of Guelph is super helpful: Automated Waste Collection

Alright, here's an odd question. I'm hosting family for my son's birthday, and he's asked for hotdogs for lunch. We've got some foodies in the family, so I don't want to skimp and just go with your typical Maple Leaf dogs.

Does anyone know where I could get some premium, potentially locally-made hotdogs? Does such a thing exist?

And here I was thinking the Xbox was the Microsoft of consoles. 😅

Jokes aside, you make a good point.

I believe this is the first midrise proposed under the new Central Kingston Growth Plan. The building would be located at the corner of Johnson and Aberdeen, replacing three buildings (six total units) with a six-storey, 45-unit build. No commercial space is proposed (I don't believe the new bylaw requires it in this location).

Developer is Amber Peak.

Architecture by RAW Design, who did the Broom Factory renewal.

I, for one, welcome our new robot overlords.

My partner and I took a day trip to Lugano from Como last fall. While the price of Swiss food was a bit steep compared to Italy, and the fog spoiled our photos from atop the Alps, there were so many incredible, photo-worthy sites on the ground.

Not pictured: the smell. What I would have done to bottle and bring home the fantastic aroma of this city.
