I can't insist enough on how bad this is. Putting at risk all messenging systems, it would be only a matter of time before a malevolent actor get the keys and get all kind of personal and sensitive data.

This is IT no more caving to the man I personally admire and fashion my entire political strategy around! said the pot as it called the kettle black.

I don't trust it. I wouldn't put it past them to tip our hand to the Americans.

I've just published an article about an economic school that argues people shouldn't fixate on deficits and be willing create more money in order to get things done. (If you click on the link and it asks you to subscribe, just ignore that and click on the link titled something like 'no now'. )

Yet the biggest challenge remains: contamination of territories occurs much faster than their clearance. “We increasingly use mechanical demining machines to speed up operations,” said Radmyla. “But even after the war ends, the fight for every safe meter of land will continue for many years. Right now, it sometimes feels endless.”

To be clear, I'm not agreeing with or endorsing the take.

Because the last time a Liberal PM built a pipeline it was too divisive and costly, this PM will checks notes do exactly the same thing again.

I've somehow missed this. Nate is out of the Ontario Liberal Party (OLP) leadership race.

There's characters are who's left:

  • Navdeep Bains
  • Rob Cerjanec
  • Lee Fairclough
  • Eric Lombardi
  • Dylan Marando

I don't see much of a competition for Doug Ford apart from perhaps Lee Fairclough. In my current assessment, this roster is more of the same that failed to win against Ford so far. Should the Ontario NDP decide to push the economic populist message, they (we) may have a better chance than the OLP at knocking Ford to a minority. Nate had a chance to do this, had he become the leader but the OLP leadership showed clear displeasure with that prospect so ... here we are.

I've heard that Mark Carney wants to 'bail out developers'. It looks to me more like David Eby wants to help out people who can't afford to buy a first home---but then spin, vibes, and ideology got involved. :-(
