Probably quite a bit since there's ways to make them like 1TB now.

320 is fine enough for even concert levels. You only need anything else if you're doing serious mastering, and even then...

I just side with the Boomers and Yes Man. Then kill Caesar's Legion and handle NCR case by case.

Totally agree, migrating to using spatial databases and accepting permits in forms other than paper/PDF would make everyone's lives so much easier.

The industry still isn't very caught on to geospatial stuff at that scale though. Most draftsman work is still just draftsman work, a very manual process. Having a way to help validate and pre-screen those permits would still be helpful while people start migrating to better systems over the next decade or so.

As someone who has to deal with a lot of boilerplate construction permits all day, this is actually something that AI could be useful for.

I'm creating the permits, so I have total access to the spatial design databases for internal QA, but permit reviewers with the city/county usually only receive a PDF or some other document format.

These drawings frequently have thousands of dimensions each, and tallying them up by hand can be a bear. Training a hyper specific model to look at an image of a permit page and highlight areas where possible dimensional conflicts could be or find other commonly overlooked mistakes would be really helpful.

They absolutely just mean slapping a screenshot into GPT3o and calling it a day though...

The knowledge of production is an integral part of the means of production and they can't be separated.

The whole post dot com era has been an experiment in doing that and it's failed spectacularly. If only there was a book about how Capital works that explained this relationship in detail...

This is why the War Thunder fan base is the best, they'll leak top secret military plans just to settle a disagreement on the forums risking court marshall and felony charges.

Just got this game, and it's actually really awesome. Stalker mixed with SCP mixed with Car Mechanic Simulator.

You have a possessed car that you maintain and customize and use to navigate around a Stalker style zone avoiding anomalies and looting all the while picking up weird radio transmissions and following a storyline with 3 other characters on the radio.

The zones aren't randomly generated, only the anomaly placement, so as you navigate a zone multiple times you start to get more comfortable with the roads and shortcuts meaning you can start navigating further out and getting more resources to upgrade your car and base with.

So far I absolutely love it, basically FTL but with the loops being a part of the storyline (your car will always keep you alive even if you lose all your loot and it gets totally fucked). So like if you die or get caught in an anomaly storm, your car will just zap you back to the garage, usually in a state so fucked that it barely drives, e.g. no wheels, no engine, and no headlights just barelling metal on pavement into the back wall.

You can also pick up "quirks" which are a fun sort of puzzle. Basically any action in the car or any state of the car can become randomly linked to another action. So like opening the back left door could turn your radio on, or flipped on your wipers could slam on the gas. So as you're out there surviving, you'll also have to be paying attention to what you did to make the trunk open, then diagnose the issue and repair it.

But yeah, if you're interested in rouge type games this one is top tier. Especially on PS5 because the haptic feedback is really dialed in on this one. You can tell how fucked your car is just by the feedback on the triggers (brake gets stuck, gas kicks back and rumbles aggressively).

They almost never include necessities in these calculations. To them the real measure of economic activity is the price of 65" TVs dropping 10%, not rent going up 100% or housing prices going up 200-300%, or food prices going up 60%.

Hey, you can get a smart TV for 85% the adjusted price of one last year and wages have gone up .8% on average meaning you can open another tv! Why are you complaining?

Reminder that this video is by Second Though, a well known fascist who constantly does apologia for North Korea and the genocides during the Soviet Union.

He is incapable of critically looking at anything without doing actual, unironic genocide denial.

These guys opened for the Chats on their North America tour and honestly, Sarah has some of the best stage presence of anyone I've ever seen. So much so that they called her up to sing the last song for them

If any of you are on his American tour route, definitely go see him. We were his first show and he took a seated show and turned it into chaos then threw out the setlist and just asked what people wanted to hear.

Plus he's got the bassist from Radiohead with him.

It's an incredibly active, explicitly communist instance that scares instances that are more liberal or right wing because we don't tolerate people who use buzzwords or generalizations or just "reddit politics" speech in general.

We're also incredibly hostile to bigotry, which turns out to scare a lot of moderators and admins that can't directly from Reddit as they tend to have a lot of unexplored bigotry.
