Dude do some research. You absolutely cannot use an Apple watch independent of the iPhone you set it up with - they will always be linked.
Have you looked into any non Apple smartwatches at all?
Even doing a quick Google search would show you the Galaxy Active watch which is the Samsung version. I used to have one an enjoyed using it so if you're hell bent on using the company perk get one of those. And if you don't have to get one then don't - if you plan on using it great. If you have to think of reasons or an excuse for one just wear a normal watch which is totally fine.
Spend some time being proactive and then hit up Reddit.
Wear what you want, seriously, no one else cares.
