How long can an Apple Watch (series 9) sit before opening it without any damage? (alien.top)

Buying one as a gift but not going to give it to them for close to two months from purchase date. Is there any issue with doing that? I've heard mixed opinions online and I'm not sure.

I can just buy it right before I want to gift it but there are some holiday deals going on right now.

You should buy AppleCare for it then as there is limited time after purchase to get it
