Screenshot showing 3 Lemmy comments, with the middle one's text content misaligned to the left.

Why is your comment misaligned

Edit: got it! after checking the HTML, Lemmy interpreted your comment as a list, because of the number followed by a dot.

Brazil, urban area, with a health plan (private healthcare)

I go to the doctor, grab a little paper with a number on it, wait for the number to be displayed on the monitor, go to the reception desk, give them my health plan card and my ID, they give those back to me, I sit back down and wait for the same number to be displayed on a different monitor. Once it's displayed, I go to the room number shown on the monitor and from there, I discuss what problem I have with an adequate specialist.

For an unplanned visit, the wait time is usually 5–30 minutes, depending on the hour and season (there are a lot of tourists during summer, meaning longer wait times and more people at the hospital).

I don't know about pricing (my parents pay for it), but it's probably not too expensive since we've never had financial problems due to health issues (as far as I'm aware).

I've never not went to the doctor for financial reasons, only for health concerns (worrying about getting sick with something else, specially if the waiting room is full or almost full). Sometimes prescribed medicine can be pretty expensive.

Nederlands (Dutch), my native language is Portuguese and I also speak English.

"Hallo, ik ben Cally en ik spreek een beetje Nederlands." probably translates to "Hello, I am Cally and I speak a bit of Dutch."

I kinda suck at learning languages so I'm still at what I assume is A1 level, I think my pronunciation is ok, though. Idk how to speed up language learning but I have set my phone to Dutch and that kinda helps. For example, "Instellingen" means "Settings"

Recently, I switched to NixOS and realised that there is no G'MIC plugin package for Krita.

There's this issue that was last active in October 2023.

I was wondering if anyone has managed to install this without using another package manager (such as Flatpak) or installing an AppImage manually, for system reproducibility, and I also don't wanna have two package managers in one system.

Ideally, there'd be a wrapper, so you could do something like:

{ pkgs, ... }: {
  programs.krita = {
    enable = true;
    gmic.enable = true;
    gmic.package = pkgs.krita.gmic-qt;
  };
}

Thoughts?

Related: is there some kind of guide on these program.<name> wrappers? What are they and where are they defined?

A 15 second animation meme with the song: ANTONYMPH by Vylet Pony

Animation by me, inspired by Flipnote animations.

Warning: pretty sure it contains a tiny bit of swearing

i went for a glitchy flipnote aesthetic for this one

in case of blurriness, here's an upscaled version (imgur)

for some reason imgur defaulted to nsfw, it's not actually nsfw, it's the image in the post but upscaled to 2048x2048 with nearest neighbor scaling

image: Duolingo lesson. Completed in 8 seconds, with 10xp and 100% accuracy. 'Practice complete!'

I just clicked 'I can't listen right now' and got a 'perfect', then it paused for a second and it just finished the lesson instantly.

I was for whatever reason walking around somewhere in Japan and linguistics books about conlanging (language creation), started raining down from the sky.

Everyone was rushing to grab one in the dream. The books were very thick and had a colorful cover, similar to the picture but with colors other than red.

I've never been to Japan, nor have I read any linguistics book or studied linguistics. I have tried conlanging once though.
