In a way the color choice here represented everything wrong with her stupid campaign and its failure with voters. She was counting on everyday people to catch the Easter egg about this being a nod to the Statue of Liberty and finding her to be clever for it, instead of just going "What is this pastel shit?" and moving on with their lives.

I am not doing a bit, it just has been baffling scrolling Hexbear then suddenly seeing a comment about the marketplace of ideas sorting everything out or whatever, and it's always from someone with Lemmy in their name. They all seem like the Carl Diggler character Felix Biederman used to do, but more on-the-nose.

Libs of TikTok is run by a Chabad lady considered too old to be unmarried by her community, who is currently single because her fiance left her due to her hateful posting. Seeing untempered joy, not derived from hurting or looking down on someone, is alien and unsettling to people like her and her followers.
