I want to give surveys to a large sample size of users while filtering out bots and without compromising the privacy of the actual survey respondents. I figure a lot of the people whose voices need to be heard will have legitimate fears of being hunted down. trans-sad

Traditional captcha is easy for AI to crack, but reverse captcha should hypothetically be more difficult.

My intention is to randomly generate a set of alphanumeric characters with each instance of the survey, and request the user to draw the characters as best as they can. The resulting answer to the "captcha" would be saved with the rest of the form data, alongside the randomly generated characters for that instance of the form. The idea is to exclude blank and nonsensical responses, as a quick-and-dirty bot filter. thonk

My current plan is to create the surveys using Google Forms (with sign-in not being required and user email not being collected) and create an embed/plugin that allows the user to draw, ideally formatted for a mobile device. I would collect the drawings with the rest of the form responses, but nothing else. I do have concerns about storage.

If you have a better suggestion of how to go about this, I welcome comments. I do also have my own domain but I haven't used it for anything yet. I struggle with executive dysfunction pretty badly. creature

If you'd prefer to chat with me about this on Discord, just let me know and I'll DM you my Discord username.

I'm painting the UHC shooter (or at least the person that mainstream media claims is the shooter) for fun.

until next time

Fantastic!! Can I actually get a link to your music to listen to while writing? It's unlikely to end up a central theme, but I do intend to have the fact that I used to be a genetics and genomics major back when I could afford college be a sort of "beat drop" at the relevant moment.

Before I deleted my Xitter account back in 2023, I ended up being blocked by a lot of transphobes after dropping my college transcript (doxxable info censored, of course) in response to being told that I "don't understand basic biology."

I'm hoping to get in contact with my professor from back when I was in college, Michael Turelli, to invite him to interview for the video, but he's likely busy.

My target audience are people "on the fence" of becoming transphobic, and people who cause harm to the trans community without knowing it by spreading misinformation (that they don't know is misinformation) and disrespecting trans people overall.

Right now, I just want a list of transphobic claims to debunk, and ideally sources to aid in debunking them.

While I won't be going through the list point-for-point in the video essay, I intend to slot them into relevant sections that I've already planned out.

Reliable experts to research for reference would also be very helpful. knight-nod

My goal is to be as non-hostile as possible--extending the courtesy of respect, in the hopes that some of them will reciprocate that respect.

I don't expect civility from the entire group, but every new ally counts. trans-heart

Had to take 25 mg of hydroxyzine for my anxiety, and 1,000 mg of acetaminophen + 800 mg ibuprofen just to tolerate the pain.

It was still painful enough to make me scream, but at least it was faster than the first time. She actually knew what she was doing, it seemed like, but I don't think she anticipated how much pain I'd be in.

Also! I think I might be allergic to benzocaine! The topical anaesthetic she used burned like hell.

Should I be concerned?

I wasn't trying to be tough, I was trying to be respectful cri

It is a single-step plan.

You write them to request a list of documents that they are legally required to provide if requested, the list of documents is numbered in that screenshot.

Either they provide that information, which you can use to dispute the denial, or they repeal the denial and pay your bill.

If you struggle to this degree with reading, I recommend downloading a screen-reader. If you already use one, my apologies for not initially providing a text transcript of the screenshot.

I mean, I'm American, and I read all that.

Granted, I am acutely aware of our education crisis, and put extra effort into learning literacy to compensate for the times I become non-verbal, but anyone who values this information would gladly read it. You don't have to if you just don't want to, but it's your own loss if you choose not to read it.

It makes me tempted to start a coalition of volunteer lawyers who specialize in this. Straight out of law school, funded by a combination of donations and side jobs in law. These volunteer lawyers would have a group social media channel (probably on YouTube and other similar sites) explaining what they do and why. We'd probably also need a tip-line for submitting claims against these health insurance agencies.

The Nameless

A group of fungal entities that sustain themselves by consuming concepts and ideas, effectively removing those concepts and ideas from the thoughts and memories of people around them.

The strongest of these creatures can wipe a concept from the minds of an entire nation, or even an entire world. Usually they need to enter a position of authoritarian power to do this without their nature being revealed.

The Nameless unanimously agreed not to be found or identified by other entities, so as not to be hindered in their feeding. People who hear of them tend to forget nearly immediately, and the Nameless have protocols in place to delete/destroy any written documentation of their existence.

Many of them parasitize an individual human, prioritizing the elderly, due to their abundance of knowledge and general inability to resist. The Nameless tend to occupy senior citizen homes.

Sometimes, however, they choose to parasitize younger humans that are sickly but book-smart. While also unable to resist well, and too young to have gathered an abundance of knowledge, they tend to pick it up quickly and make sufficient hosts for the Nameless.

Spanning across multiple galaxies, The Nameless have learned that intelligent and social species make the best hosts, and make a point not to feed on knowledge that would otherwise lead to the invention of global communications.

Nearly every planet occupied by the Nameless has the following traits:

  1. Primarily inhabited by an intelligent and social species that is capable of developing civilization.
    1. The primary species is NOT a hive-mind species. The Nameless can't feed on hive-minds.
  2. Some form of long-range communication is developed within a few years of colonization.
  3. Global communication is achieved in around a century.
  4. Despite unhindered access to information, the primary species seems too unintelligent to have invented their communications in the first place. This is due to late-stage feeding.
  5. Always on the tipping point of annihilation; the Nameless need to cover their tracks so as not to be caught.
    1. Even fictional references to beings similar to The Nameless are wiped or drowned out by unrelated information.
  6. The primary species is deliberately drip-fed incorrect information about the nature of the universe. Some of this false information is benign, other false information is intentionally designed to draw the species off the scent of the Nameless.
    1. The benign false info serves as both a red herring and a point of argumentation between members of the primary species, to distract them from discovery.
    2. For example, humans were led to believe that the electrical signals between neurons were the source of their sapience and not a side effect; while the nature of butterflies, a species that dissolves down to the neuron but can remember stimuli from before pupation, disproves this belief in its entirety, research on why this is the case has been deliberately stunted.
      1. The few researchers who discover the real reason are fed on, and the explanation is lost.
      2. They've caught me.

ahhh, I get it now lmao

I don't understand this comment.

Of course, asking them if it's true and then casually letting them know that you're willing to independently investigate and sue if the information they provided is found to be false may be a deterrent from lying. Depends on how ballsy their CEO is.

My hubby forwarded this screenshot to me from a GTNH Discord server and I feel it is valuable advice for anyone struggling with American healthcare.

I was only able to stream for an hour before I had to stop.

Now I solidly can't enjoy anything. What do I do?

I tried to check Yes but the box isn't working :( is it a mobile limitation or am I just dumb?

Thank you!! I got it now!! There were so many :o

Was hoping I'd see mirror pronouns as an option, but it's ok!

Is there a way to request pronoun options?
