What is it with this article quoting something but then embedding a different tweet? Wouldn't you want to show the tweet in which she said the thing you are saying she said?

I'm sorry, that was the top level comment user. That's my mistake.

Assuming others see you is like planning to make this situation happen.

I mean you're making a lot of assumptions about the situation here. The only piece of context the article provides is that they were at an intersection (doesn't state what kind), the cyclists were already going through and "she just came right across and split the group."

It doesn't say if there was a hill for the oncoming traffic which could have caused them not to see the car before the group began to cross. It doesn't say that the cyclists all saw the car and decided "you know what we have enough time let's just go." It doesn't say she was on her phone (though that is what my assumption is).

What we know is that she, intentionally or not, killed someone because "she didn't see them." How could you possibly fault a group of 10 people for this?

Editing to add: Your argument is all about trust. You can trust or not trust anyone to do anything and all that does is increase or decrease your chances of a critical outcome like this. I ride very defensively and very visibly. Safety vest, front and rear cameras with lights, the works. At a certain point the only thing I can to do increase my odds of not getting hit while riding is just not riding my bike, which is not an option for me or many other people.

Why would you not expect to see other road users at an intersection? You would expect to see a car, why not a cyclist?

Not me! I'll take a pack of this Chewlie's gum right here.

It's not an accident it's manslaughter.

This makes sense, thank you!

Hey folks, long time first time.

I'm interested in getting some recommendations for default settings for my OLED Steam Deck which I mainly use hooked up to my 55" TV in my living room.

Main questions:

  1. what should I use for default settings on the Steam Deck for this setup?
  2. what game specific settings should I make for games, and do I make those in Steam for each game (Game library page - properties - game resolution: default/native/specific) or inside each game's options menu?

If it helps, here's a list of games I'm mostly playing:

Skyrim DRG Unrailed Bramble Gloomhaven

Gloomhaven specifically is something I would like help with because it's so much text and lots of things that end up over lapping (card side drawer on the left with the character action/initiative tiles displayed at the top)

Thank you in advance for any help dumbing this down for me!

Please feel free to delete this if it's breaking the no ads rule, but I figured I'd share the message with the community because of the benefit these cameras have had for my safety and confidence riding in a not super bike friendly town. I purchased both the front and rear cameras after being shot with an airsoft gun while riding and missing the last three digits of the cars license plate. The footage is fantastic and the lights are pretty darn bright too. Happy to answer anyone's questions about my experience with them.

My wife and I are trying to eat a little less meat, starting with 1 dinner per week. I'm having trouble finding vegetarian recipes that can fit my desired macros for dinner, which are 52/41/16 C/P/F. I like tofu, but the protein/fat ratio isn't great for what I'm trying to get. I don't really love the "fake" meat substitutes and would rather eat real foods.

Any suggestions on high protein lower fat veggie mains or resources for recipies would be greatly appreciated.
