COVID "lockdowns" let me accept I fucking hate leaving the house. All the normies telling me to "get outside" really just meant "go spend money". I go out and bike and I love that, but I don't go out to eat at restaurants anymore. I've gotten good enough at cooking at home anyway and the prices of everything is stupid so fuck it. Thankfully have one IRL friend who comes over every couple weeks to hang out for like 10+ hours and that's all I need for socializing, at least as a minimum.

I also think leftists who are less fascistically libidinal and more self-conscious avoid getting into seemingly useless internet arguments in general.

Redditors on the digital minimalism subreddit won't shut up about phone addiction and algorithms and stuff being used to affect people's mentalities and eat up their time. And then some one posted about sexuality and porn being used to do the same (on social media, etc.) and the majority of the 40+ comments were either skeptical or calling them a prude.

Immediately turned into non-minimalists as soon as it was their personal treats being critiqued.
