I've been dealing with dry eye and they've gone a little crazy on my eyes. My eye doctor actually had to give me eye drops to clear them up a bit

The little crusties you get when you sleep. Got so bad that I couldn't open my eyes in the morning

Since taking eye drops to clear out the demodex and doing a bunch of eye hygiene, I now have almost no crusties in the morning

Concerts used to be loss leaders to drive album sales

With albums sales down the concert has become the product and ticket master's business model is to be the only game in town and wring out as much money from concert goers as possible

Because the moon is moving away very slowly there will be a last total solar eclipse at some point. We're lucky to have such good ones currently

Skincancer.org is my source for darker colors being better protection

https://www.skincancer.org/blog/dress-to-protect-5-things-that-affect-how-well-your-clothes-block-uv-rays/

I don't have the highest degree of confidence in it but it makes sense to me that absorption matters more than reflection because a lot of the reflected UV will be going through the shirt and onto your skin

That's why materials like linen aren't as good for UV protection. They're light weaves and let a lot of light through, still

From the article it sounds like a lot of the complaints are any delivery gig workers, not pedestrians. The gig workers are incentivized to go fast and bike recklessly in a way that pedestrians aren't

Some of the proposals the safety conscious people are suggesting, though, feel a bit harsh to me. I don't want to have to get a licence for a bike that assists me when going up hill. On the other hand, if people are treating these like electric motorcycles then vehicle lisencing makes more sense to me

As for the article, I felt like it was balanced in a way the headline is not

While I can't attest to the veracity of this website, and my objection to the practice of raising chickens for meat has more to do with treatment than anything else, this website gives common reasons why the modern broiler chicken is an unhealthy breed

Is there more to it than just absurdist humor?

EDIT: OH, Legolas' name is in it
