What frustrates me so much about garbage plates is how inferior they are to typical Midwest summertime grilling meals. Gimme some brats and sloppy joes with coleslaw or pasta salad and a pile of Old Dutch ripple chips to scoop up any loose bits.

I've had this discussion multiple times in my twenties with older boomers about young conservatives. Like yeah the older generations have nice homes, businesses, or better salaries and are generally gonna vote for the GOP. Young men on the other hand have none of that capital and really only vote GOP because they're wretched little monsters who make lists of people they hate.

My neighbors were grilling and started theirs and another neighbors house on fire. Fire department was quick to respond, but it's crazy how much damage can happen in just 20 minutes.

My coworkers are talking shit in a slack channel about dudes with long hair without realizing that I, a dude with long hair, am in that slack channel. I fairly certain I could beat up this entire group of losers by myself, but sure keep making man bun and Fabio jokes.

Reddit has gone down hill from 2016 too. I genuinely think it's just a big migration pattern from one social media platform to the next. The idiots started in YouTube comments, then Facebook around 2016, Twitter has really gotten fucked since the pandemic, and now it's moved to Reddit. It's in the same vein that chuds simply can't keep to themselves on social media, they have to feel like they're involved in the discourse.

Teens today are more annoying because they aren't getting in enough trouble. We've sterilized the idea of youth. When I was a kid our parents were freaked out by the Jacob Wetterling abduction and we were always under close supervision. Meanwhile, my dad and his buddies would tell crazy stories from their childhood. My dad was smoking cigarettes when he was 9 years old and started a fire in bunch of tall grass along the riverbank. Fire dept showed up and had to control the fire. Poor kids got it way worse than I did growing up I the 90's.

I've gone the similar route and just acknowledge that all our business and political leaders are criminals, makes sense the rest of us are criminals too.

In my hometown every new chain restaurant is packed for the first couple months but new creative restaurants struggle to get off the ground. Popeyes Chicken was causing traffic backups. The soul food fusion restaurant is finally being recognized as a good spot after like 5 years of being open.
