Quest 3 lens and displays actually are nice to look at, I coded for 5 hours in it the other day, and the only glaring flaw was the weight. My forehead hurt afterwards from the pressure, and I wasn't even using stock strap. The stock strap on quest headsets is known to be terrible. Tbf I only have a 1080p monitor for comparison bur its nice.

Dang I'm in college right now and in highschool most teachers didn't mind you looking at your phone in class. In college the profs don't even react to people taking calls in class.

The quest 3 stays sharp when alignment changes, its surprisingly nice to work in outside of the brick on my face. I would hope the xreal glasses can match quest 3 clarity

The website owner who pays to keep their site up with ads and write stuff on their site. I read a lot of stuff on small sites so I feel a little bad, but I'm not wasting bandwidth to let them play video ads on a static site.

Buy a 64gb one, you can upgrade the storage pretty easily

I'm using a cpu from 2013 and gaming in containers seems to work as well as it does outside of containers.

If you hold down the mouse button while hovering over the address bar, that starts selecting stuff. Is there a reason your usecase isn't covered by this?

The apple vision pro doesn't have motion controllers like the quest line of headsets, so apps would have to be redesigned for hand tracking instead.

Also, apple said recently that devs have to cannot describe their apps using the words VR, AR, or XR on any platform it is on, they have to be called spacial computing apps, so anything with VR in the title like VRChat can't get ported without a full rebrand.

I only use an extension for tray icons. I use it kind of like how I would use a tiling window manager with a keyboard based workflow and non tiling windows. I just hit the super key and type app names to launch stuff and drag windows around with the super key. Instead of alt-tabbing I hit the super key to see the overview and click on the window I want.

In the newest gnome versions, there's a menu that shows you what apps are in the background, so if you know what apps are already open. I'm not a huge fan of that but I wouldn't really care if my tray icons didn't work because its close enough.

I got 1 dollar a year on my domain, gen.xyz has some real cheap domains if you don't care about it being a string of 6-9 numbers.
