10 years ago me and my mom worked jobs from home. I did CenturyLink (phone company) and HSN and QVC. She did dish network, directv and Eddie Bauer. It was easier then to find wfh jobs than it is now. Then it was unusual, but no stigma. Now it's like you're an evil clown bent on molesting the village's sheep if you even suggest it. -_-

A spoiler warning would have been nice. I haven't read it yet!

There is no "all of the above" option, which is the correct answer.

However, I really enjoy startrek.website

Good God, we really will use anything but the metric system.

Per my last email, this is on my radar, but I really don't have the bandwidth to deal with it at the moment. I'm just following up with you really quickly, please advise on how'd you'd like to proceed. Correct me if I'm wrong, but couldn't Tanya in HR take lead on this?

In the court of public vibe check he was guilty regardless of what actually happened. Poor dude's life was tragic. I'm not normally one to feel a whole lot of sympathy for the mega rich, but MJ was a good one.

Well fuck. Is America about to invade America? I don't know how much more freedom I can take.

Actually it's super easy.

Step 1: be poor

Step 2: come to terms that you don't have, and likely will never have, enough disposable no income to afford 50 dollar tickets to a concert

Bonus optional step 3: be poor enough that you'll be unlikely to live in a city where musicians will come, even if you found some money. Then you definitely won't have gas money to drive there and see them. :)

It's fool proof.

I mean, despite the rampant bootlicking seen in that generation, boomers didn't create that system. They're victims of it as well, just victims that generally refuse to see it. My mom absolutely has been fucked over by capitalism, and has fucked herself over helping her kids. But she acknowledges why, and agitates for something better. My dad is a victim of this shitty system, too, but was so brainwashed by cold war propaganda that he can't see it most of the time. :/ tldr fuck the boomer politicians and brainwashers, try to help regular boomers realize they're just as much a victim of this shit as we are.

Can't even blame em. Started out in lemmy.world and switched to startrek.website the first time .world went out and someone explained to me how that works with being overloaded. Haven't looked back sense. The local timeline is awesome, the federation is awesome. It really showcases the benefit of a federated service. It made Lemmy such a great replacement for me, whereas before I was struggling to get into lemmy.
