The episodes after Brian got killed and resurrected have gone off the deep end in terms of being outright sadistic, though.

What if you downloaded your own videos to post to Odysee or PeerTube now in an attempt to at least have them on a non-Google platform? Will that be a DMCA violation even if you're the one who made those videos in the first place?

Similarly, could something like this also put the existence of alternative video platforms like the aforementioned Odysee and PeerTube at risk too?

Also, could this have implications for fan works now too?

Modern Family Guy especially.

Scrooged is a great cynical, dark humor take on the IP, and of course A Muppet Christmas Carol gets a mention as well.

Well, I was pretty big into Magic School Bus for a while when I was still of the age to be watching that sorta thing, as in I had some VHS tapes of that show, and tbh its animation still holds up really well 30+ years on (RIP Nelvana unless things change for the better for them; they're pretty much a licensing company now for the time being), and oh, for davidgro, this was another PBS show that had a banger theme song, made by the late Little Richard, and I remember liking Clifford and Arthur well enough too.

Rugrats was also one of my earliest memories in this regard and I liked it a lot too, and it's also really cute looking back onto it as well.

Bazzite has newer drivers, ditto for CachyOS Handheld Edition for another SteamOS clone.

If possible, maybe get a separate machine to throw Windows on and then keep your personal rig on Linux?

Fuck that, we trying to bring back mining-era company towns that will inevitably fail now?

I hope people like having a 'New Appalachia,' because the situation in Appalachia is exactly what happens when company towns go under.

Never thought the EPA of all organizations would be pro-Right to Repair given their history of fining anyone who messes with emissions gear out of existence.

PeerTube exists and you can get funding through LiberaPay among other crowdfunding platforms.

Fuck this, I'd rather see less of this and more pedestrian-friendly infrastructure. Stroads in particular are one of man's worst inventions IMO.

So, Dave Jones is very rightfully fuming at a proud slop peddler, and I'll just let him do the talking from this point.

A chalk drawing of Pichu playing with letter blocks in her playroom, spelling her name out with them. Behind her is a Pokeball inflatable and there's varying artwork on the wall.

This was photographed through an EOS Rebel T3i with a Canon FD 35-70mm f4 zoom lens mounted to it, as since this was drawn on a massive sheet of cardboard (this is the biggest chalk drawing I've done in years), the Lumix GF2 with its prime lens wasn't going to work like it does with smaller works.

I also posted this to Pixelfed, Mastodon, and Friendica.

I've also taken a bit of a liking to how chalk in particular looks on cardboard as well.

So, I started to mess around with Sonic fanart recently, picking Cream and the Chao twins as my first subject for that, as well as just Chao in general.

These examples are either drawn in chalk or oil pastel, including the one I posted for the cover image.

Basically, as the title asks, Nooki is effectively dead in terms of activity compared to Lemmy which is actually pretty active, but ATproto, which Nooki uses, has a larger userbase than ActivityPub, doesn't that seem odd to anyone else or is it just me?

Nooki should be more active than it seems like it is at least on my end.

LibreWolf is one of the best browsers for people who don't like generative AI.

Here is the statement posted on Mastodon:

As there seems to have been recent confusion about this, just a quick "official" toot to then pin: we haven't and won't support "generative AI" related stuff in LibreWolf. If you see some features like that (like Perplexity search recently, or the link preview feature now) it is solely because it "slipped through". As soon as we become aware of something like this / it gets reported to us, we will remove/disable it ASAP.

As I detailed in that Friendica post, GenAI is a scam, because its entire dataset is fraudulently obtained by mass plagiarism, and it runs like a Ponzi scheme in that it steals new data to augment the old data, like how Ponzi schemes steal new money to pay off their old marks.

GenAI is robbing Peter to pay Paul, but with data instead of money, and somehow people think this is OK, while Bernie Madoff got locked up until he died for orchestrating what was the largest Ponzi scheme in history at the time in '08; in 18 years we went from actively prosecuting fraudsters, to basically giving them a free pass to defraud as many people across as many industries as they want, as Sam Altman, who I view to be basically the modern-day Bernie Madoff, will probably never even see fines for his atrocities, let alone the inside of a prison cell.

We locked up Bernie Madoff until he died for running an actual Ponzi scheme in '08, and bankrupting a ton of people and organizations across all tax brackets in the process, but we're letting Sam Altman get away clean with running the same type of fraud, but with data instead of money, people....
