What about Maine coons?

You can look at it however you want, but if you aren't tipping in the US, you are a MOOCH. It doesn't matter if you disagree, that is the truth in the society you live in.

Should employers pay their employees more? Absolutely! But I don't have control over that and you don't either. What we do have control over, is how much we tip. If you want to change the society you live in; making waiters and waitresses go without, isn't the way.

If they had to pay their staff more, prices would be higher. If prices are higher, not as many people can afford to go, resulting in prices going up even more. When waiters can rely on tips instead of just the hourly wage, they are given the chance of getting a really nice tip from someone who is generous, resulting in more money than without the tips. By not tipping, you are relying on the generosity of others to keep the workers you aren't tipping above the line. If you think they don't deserve to be tipped, don't go there, otherwise you're being a mooch in the society you live in, even if it's in a minor way.

Because being polite and accommodating to people who are being shitty to you isn't important for those jobs.

You alone won't, but you would definitely be directly contributing to her being closer to said line

[โ€“] [email protected] 5 points 5 days ago

Totally. Everyone being different is the reason we're okay with unnecessary poverty in this country.

So you're saying the restaurant owners should give the suppliers a good tip if they're polite and efficient? Nuance is hard

[โ€“] [email protected] 1 points 5 days ago (6 children)

And you think the best way to do that is by stopping waitresses from being able to feed their kids? Because that's the only thing that will happen if you don't tip

I couldn't play starfield on day one when I had proton installed. I know a lot of people hated that game, but I was looking forward to that game more than anything else at that point in my life and proton fucked my first weekend trying to play.

As far as I know wabbajack doesn't work on Linux and that's the only way I'll be able to play with hundreds or thousands of mods because I don't have the time to meticulously creating a working load order anymore, I wasn't very good at it when I did have the time either, I would always make it stable, then add a bunch more until it wasn't. With curated mod lists, I actually play instead of being addicted to modding. If I'm wrong about wabbajack and linux, I'll retract that

I use a Bluetooth headset and my Bluetooth earbuds, among other things I don't use as often, on windows 11 and I've never had an issue with forgetting or disconnecting devices. I do have issues with my mic disconnecting sometimes, but that seems to be either a distance issue, my headset, or both. I've never seen an ad on my PC and I'm not sure what edge is. Everything else you said doesn't apply to me in any way

If I didn't have to wait for games I'm anticipating before release to work on Linux, I would have happily learned how to use Linux years ago. I pretty much only use my PC as an entertainment system; games, movies/tv, internet use. I like to mod my games and modding on Windows has become so easy that it's actually feasible to help my PC inept friends get a working load order without committing a weekend. Unless the larger nexus modding community as a majority switch to Linux, I don't see myself switching for a long time
