They have made it very clear that there plan is greater Israel. They are kinda dumb over there. So my guess is they are going to go for it

Assad milked Iran and Russia for money. Didn't pay his armed forces and just let the country stagnant till turkey decided to give a little push. And that little push collapsed the whole country.
