In Southampton and the Isle of Wight where they were being made they had to put them on special barges. The old Edwardian layout of the streets were too light.

Yep. A family member worked for Vestas. 30 feet at the time, though they make them much bigger now. They even have ways of recycling them but the UK government wont give them the right to open a processing plant.
