Apparently this is the key to "there is not that much inflation".

Groceries can't be subsidized by stealing your data.
I love the implication that this ends with a grocery CEO drowning in a car trunk
Reninder to check with price history before falling for black friday "sales". Companies ramp up the price just one month before to offset the reduction.
Companies even produce special black Friday models of things where they cheap out on everything to reduce costs and not have to discount their regular wares
Keepa browser extension for Amazon is quite handy, even if you don't order from Amazon and just want to compare prices
This is the year I can buy a good TV (any other things) for the first time in my life. Been on long term sick leave for 15 years but recently got increased economical support, including a big retroative payment from may till this month. Just ordered a Steam Deck, something I've been dreaming of having for years, some nice headphones and waiting till black friday to get a nice TV. Groceries here in Sweden haven't increased that much, my monthly cost is about the same as before but I've just had to replace some products for the few things that have gotten noticeably more expensive, really no difference to complain about.
Anyway, I'M SO FUCKING EXCITED!! Been living with hand me downs for most tech, got a shitty laptop from 2011 and a shitty 1080p TV with horrible contrast, color and it gets so damn warm, my headphones are falling apart. I never thought this all could happen at once, it's like a full life upgrade.
Enjoy it, my friend. In a similar situation. Had money for the last year for the first time in my life. It is amazing, in some ways, how weird it is to buy something like a laptop new.
Congratulations.
Can you effort groceries though?
They wouldn't be able to afford the tech if they couldn't.
Not like black Friday sales have been worth shit since COVID anyway.
Or ever. I’ve never seen anything but chaos on Black Friday. It’s crafted to push impulse purchases for the sake of a “crazy deal”
Eh, I do remember them being very worthwhile back in ye olden days. I remember my parents getting an amazing looking plasma TV back in maybe 2009-2010 era for south of $150 on a black friday deal, back when flat screens were still exorbitantly expensive in most cases. Same for computers and a lot of toys too.
Now it's all like "we just raised our prices last week, now there's 5% off WOWWEEE!
For those who don't know, this meme is based on a song (and a music video ?)

I don't have a big TV. Never felt like I needed one. Never had space for it. Now that they're all spying on people, I never want to be even near one.
