Bolsonaro, the son of former President Jair Bolsonaro, called into question a late-Sunday decision by a Lula-appointed Supreme Court justice that extended voting by two hours over alleged voter transport irregularities. He said he would ask for the result to be annulled.

The scale of Bolsonaro's loss, with the senator trailing Lula by over 4 million votes, makes it unlikely his efforts to annul the vote will succeed, analysts said.

His petition is also undermined by the fact that his campaign also sought a voting extension due to heavy rains in the conservative-leaning south.

Throw him in jail for this. I’m so fucking tired of the slow creep of whiny-baby shit among fascists that has gone unchecked. Enough is enough, don’t allow them to make this acceptable human behavior

Truke. Like there’s this rot about how libs approach fascists.

Their assumption is fascists are simply too powerful to oppose and if we did oppose them, they’ll win every time no problem. So just always make nice and try to placate them.

And last I checked, I have never seen chuds appreciate when libs treat them with kid gloves and stop being fascists. They just make up a reason why they must do genocide, from “tumblr said mean things about men” in the early 2010s to “video games make me feel bad about being a racist sometimes!” today.

I think the lib resistance to weilding power against fascists is more often along the lines of "if we put them in prison we're just as bad as they are."

(This is also one reason why prison abolition is a bad take.)

Maybe underlying it is the pendulum concept. They do not have a political or emotional adherence to any sort of final settling. Because they themselves admire and aspire to some parts of fascism so cannot internalize the goal of eradicating it. And under this loser brained framework, you must always consider that even though things are good now, eventually the tide will turn and the bad guys will come back and seek revenge.

Abolish the current carceral system. As it is winding down, salvage infrastructure, implement a new system for crimes against the working class. Call this "the great replacement".

  • I would assume there is a way to lift parliamentary immunity, especially given that the Brazilian fascists have not managed to fully secure the courts to support their antics.

That's assuming one wants to play by the rules, which i think Lula does based on how he's acted in the past. But that does not mean you can't utilize these rules as much as possible.

The way the election was I think if they try this time they will just die, seriously. This time Lula already has the government so he can just arrest them if they tried anything, if USA tries anything the people are already raging against them so people will fight back.

How dare more time was allowed for the working class to vote!

There is also disinfo from some outlets saying Lula was the one who extended the time.

    https://en.sedaily.com/international/2026/10/26/lulas-fourth-term-halts-latin-americas-rightward-shift

Bolsonaro, the losing candidate, signaled that he would not accept the result. After Lula's victory was confirmed, Bolsonaro said he could not accept the outcome and would seek to have the election annulled, according to AFP and other foreign media. He took issue with a Supreme Court ruling that extended voting by two hours on election day at the request of Lula's camp

AI is saying both camps submitted extention requests - either way should be a moot point.

    • Brazil’s Supreme Court extended voting hours across Brazil after separate requests from President Lula and Flávio Bolsonaro.

    https://www.ibtimes.co.uk/flavio-bolsonaro-seeks-brazil-election-annulment-1827736

    • Both presidential candidates had sought additional voting time, although their requests concerned different obstacles facing voters.

    • Lula sought an extension following problems with buses transporting voters to polling stations in São Paulo and Salvador, cities that tended to favour him. Bolsonaro's request followed heavy rain in southern Brazil, where he was favoured

That's a fun way to say "fascists kept shutting down busses."
