The CoC does ask that the CW be the first thing in the title

"The Alamo" was a battle by Texas revanchists in support of slavery and it should be "remembered" with contempt

texians weren't revanchistes, they were filibusteros; to have revanchism you need to claim the heap of land you're trying to seize once belonged to you, whereas 90% of the texians weren't even born in the territory.

    Article:

The game at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, which UTSA won 38-34, was delayed for about 10 minutes.

I'd like to think the cheerleaders knew he was a boot and were cheering for him to eat shit.

Maybe if american troops wanted to have sympathy they shouldn't have spent decades murdering people in the vaguely-defined "middle east"

Middle East is a colonial and eurocentric name but I admittedly haven’t seen any alternatives for it in wide use. Would just West Asia be a better alternative?

What we call Middle-East is part of South West Asia + Egypt (I'm not sure why) (+ Turkey?). Alternatively we can also use Arabia (or Arabian Peninsula) + Levant instead of the vague South West Asia

If a pig wants sympathy they can quit their job, in his role as a military trainer and active police he was a fully-commited soldier of the white supremacist US war machine. This is harm reduction. I do believe they should have a chance at rehabilitation though.

Can you put the content warning up front with something like "Graphic, Death" instead of Big Ouchie? Thank you <3

Ngl I don't think I've ever seen such an enormous lack of empathy from everyone around. It takes a couple of seconds before anyone moves to check on the guy, what the heck.

I think they just don't know what to do or don't believe it at first, they weren't exactly prepared to see someone possibly die. I've seen a few traumatic incidents where people are oddly chill before most really grasp it fully. Also they are football fans, the way he falls at first doesn't look much different than some bad hits I've seen, and they are spectators, the ref does run to him immediately.

Yeah I see what you mean. It is a baffling thing to watch someone fall to their death.

    Also they are football fans

Fair point, I'm not used to American football, and everything I've seen from it just always strikes me as too violent in general. That may just be the reason why the lack of reaction from most of them is so startling to me.

It is too violent, I hardly watch US football and in the few games I've seen the last couple years there have been 2 or 3 concussions that looked as much like someone dieing as this video, with apparent brain damage due to posturing while unconscious, as disturbing or more to me as this video. Most people there have probably seen someone fall hard and go unconscious, it's kind of fucked that they should be used to seeing that but I think that could be part it.
