People don't seem to realise:

  1. the photo on the right is heavily edited from the original:
    image
  2. he regretted the overall outcome

IMO that's just as bad, just different. The badness in the edited one isn't the red face or the extreme contrast (which are the most visible differences), it's the shapes if his face from the operations which are just as bad on both.

Everyone is just ignoring the " why does he look younger in 2003" comment.

22 years of time will make you look older, even if you get a bunch of ugly ass plastic surgery.

Why does he look younger when he was...younger?

At this point it's well known that Simon has dysmorphia and spent some time addicted to filler botox cosmetic procedures in general.

The picture on the right isn't even as bad is it got.

Out of respect to his mental health I won't post images here. Even people who were traditionally assholes can have a mental breakdown from deep seated insecurity.

They're gonna look at this shit in a few centuries in the same way that we look at old chinese foot binding . I agree with others that having this expensive and very visually apparent procedures done must be some sort of way for them to flaunt status and wealth or something. It's hard to imagine someone thinking this looks good, it's nearly uncanny valley.

There is some kind of incentive structure to look this fucked up. There is a whole different world where looking like a parody of yourself is virtue signaling, shows that you can afford to look like such a cartoon. It’s the same reason maga face is a thing. Humans aren’t attracted to it physically, but you can tell they that they have enough money to do that to themselves and not have to feel embarrassed.

    Swelling from intense sunburn?

Just wait until it "heals" and the dna damage will become apparent.

Some people have seemingly gotten shinier recently. I'm not sure how or why, but I feel like I've seen it more over the last year or so.

  • A lot of people don't realize the image is heavily edited in the first place, so I'm gonna just start my comment by saying that, but the wet look you're talking about is definitely a trend. You can look up "dewy makeup" sometime "glowy" is used but that's often less extreme. Matte used to be super in, then people would be using matte highlights, then people went for more natural highlights (aka not painted on but where the product lets the light hit it and gives the effect that your skin looks somewhat wet). I'm not actually super into makeup so someone more knowledgeable can definitely correct me if I'm wrong, but that's my overall understanding. You're not just imagining things, that's definitely been a more recent trend.

These days I'm just assuming that anybody with strange ostentatious plastic surgery is a rightwing nutbag.

May or not be the case but it's accurate enough. Especially because they've chosen this as their defining look.
