At least it wasn't Nickelback
post
Dude had an idea he thought would help; wasn't a prideful dick when it was clear that it wasn't helping, and shelved the idea.
Honestly, respect.
Reminds me of the people who preach on planes. They just get up and start preaching to the passengers against their will.
As a reformed public guitar player myself, good on that man for speaking up. It’s the first step in getting help for many of us.
Imagine if it was Wonderwall
You're my wonder waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Stick this on the rotation if you're ever drugging out with some pals. See how long it takes someone to notice.
I'll let the professional haters say it better than I could:
“Overexposed is a hit-seeking missile that doesn’t just slaughter Maroon 5’s reputation for sincerity, it festoons its corpse with glitter, hairspray and Hello Kitty Stickers.” — The Washington Post
“Once a real live band whose humanity, however glossy it might have been, could be verified by its mostly organic sound, Maroon 5 now appears to have converted into a silicone simulacrum of its former self with “Overexposed,” a collection of faceless android pop guaranteed to sound exactly like all the songs sequenced around it on Top 40 radio.” — News OK
Bro should've known to start with covers from the Doom Eternal soundtrack.
The Doom Eternal soundtrack is a pale shadow of the Doom 2016 soundtrack.
Not for any fault of Mic Gordon's. They cut production of the album before release and fucked up his mix.
it still slaps tho
Some of the fan edits trying to recomp the entire soundtrack from the game files show you the potential the final OST could've had, sad times.
Do people bring guitars as carry-ons and take a whole overhead bin like that?
I don't have a musical instrument, but if I did you bet your ass I'd be keeping it in my sight rather than let the cargo handlers beat the absolute shit out of it.
If overhead bins are for anything, they should be for important things like that.
The reason overhead space is so crowded in the first place is because airlines have created a perverse pricing structure which charges extortionately for checked luggage and encourages everyone to take the biggest carry-ons they can.
You’re kinda a dick if you do. A guitar will take up an entire bin that is for a row of three people.
If you ask nicely, you might get a flight attendant who can put it in the closet at the front of the aircraft usually reserved for business class.
Otherwise get a hard case and check it with your fingers crossed.
Would you trust your instrument to be stored under the plane? I don't have a problem with people bringing fragile items into the cabin. That doesn't mean it's his main character moment to pull it out and dazzle a (literally) captive audience.
I have seen instruments on board but I dont think you can just "take a whole overhead bin" without having permission to take something larger then a normal carry-on with you. I bet they charge you more than double what a normal carry-on would set you back.
Instruments can be carried-on. I don’t think there’s an up-charge.
Do people abuse it? Certainly.
The "old guy" was right. As long as all passengers aren't sitting down all buckled up the plane can't go anywhere even if the tower would allow it.
Flights don't get delayed because someone is standing or unbuckled.
Edit: to anyone that disagrees, you are wrong. I travel for work and fly all the time. There have been plenty of flights where someone was standing to get something as were taxing. And after the crew has walked by there is literally nothing stopping you from unbuckling. They don't even stay and stare at you to buckle. It's just a passing comment.
If you think otherwise you are wrong. I'm editing this because I don't need to reply and correct every dumbass that think they know better and have never fucking flown.
They can be. The cabin crew will communicate to the flight crew when the interior is ready, they won't takeoff without it, and someone refusing to sit down or buckle up definitely counts as not ready.
If a passenger gets up and causes a disturbance later, that would also get communicated to the flight crew and, shot of the plane having started its takeoff roll, there's a good chance everyone is going back to the gate to remove this person.
I’ve always seen the flight attendants stand and wait until whatever they request has been adjusted. But 90% of my flying experience is in Europe so maybe it’s different in the US.
What, do you think the crew is just going to sit there when this guy is the only thing keeping them from leaving? As soon as everything else keeping them from taking off is resolved they'll politely tap him on the shoulder to let him know to put the guitar away.
Unless he had the row to himself, I imagine that would be pretty difficult. That or maybe the guy who yelled was sitting in his row.
That happened.
Nothing ever happens.
The stages of forum disbelief:
- Wait, some of this stuff is fake?!
- That's fake!
- That's fake too!
- That's FAKE, well, it's a funny scenario. Who cares if the OP is fake? Look at the discussion it spawned.
- Haha, another fake post, let's see what they're saying about it anyway, lol those silly fakers.
and then everyone fucked
Right. With today's coverage of events this would have been posted on tiktok and YouTube from 4 different point of views.
