Edit: to anyone that disagrees, you are wrong. I travel for work and fly all the time. There have been plenty of flights where someone was standing to get something as were taxing. And after the crew has walked by there is literally nothing stopping you from unbuckling. They don't even stay and stare at you to buckle. It's just a passing comment. If you think otherwise you are wrong. The cabin crew will communicate to the flight crew when the interior is ready, they won't takeoff without it, and someone refusing to sit down or buckle up definitely counts as not ready.
