I mean I love this comparison, but it's wrong.
Trump demonstratively spent time in the St Peter in Rome taking to Zelensky and attending the inauguration.
I don't believe this comparison is created to celebrate his stamina.

Just to be clear this kind of response has no impact on evangelicals.
They see it as a holy war.
I wish Christians were persecuted anywhere near the extent they claim to be.
It truly bothers me that our response to God believers is "We have to respect them" and our response to trans people is "They are delusional!"
When it should be the other way around. After all Transpeople and gender dysphoria are real and measurable. God is neither.
I'm tired of these people who worship deities tell me there's no such thing as trans. That I am not a woman because "God doesn't make mistakes."
Newsflash - If God was real the existence of birth defects proves he does make mistakes.
If masculinity is God's will so is bad eyesight. Burn your satanic glasses.
I recently started reading Separation of Church and Hate by John Fugelsang. I highly recommend it, especially if you aren’t religious. I saw the author on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and he convinced me to read it.
The book is about why Christian Nationalists are wrong. They’ve stolen Christianity from true Christians.
It gives you the tools and knowledge to debate those people by analyzing verse from the Bible more closely with the context to the era.
Some things you might not know that I learned:
Jesus was a Palestinian.
Paul never met Jesus. His books of the bible were actually letters he wrote to someone else about the scripture. His words about the scripture weren’t meant to be applied to his own letters.
The Bible often contradicts itself. Sometimes, in the same book. Paul, for example, wrote that women should be submissive and never speak, but then he had a female deacon.
Has there been a single recent example of Christians being persecuted in the US ? Wtf are these people on about
When they arrest someone for murdering a queer person, they call that "Cancelling Christianity"
Certain strains of Christianity in the US are really apocalypse cults. Somewhere in the story there’s something about being persecuted and being threatened with death unless you renounce Christ.
They need to be persecuted because it reinforces the idea that they are living in the end times and therefore closer to rapture or whatever.
Edit: persecution is also a key part of Christianity’s origin story (Peter being crucified for his belief, Christians being fed to the lions in Rome, etc.).
This is also critical for those who are treating the earth like it doesn’t matter. Rapture is coming so it doesn’t matter. Although they always fail to remember the quote, a rich man getting into heaven is as likely as a camel going through the eye of a needle. I am paraphrasing
Christians actually oppose going to college because the end times will be here "any day now" so dedicating yourself to anything but praising Jebus is a waste of time.
They were told they have to be nice to gay and brown people. That's their "persecution"
Reminds me of this:

I thought white conservatives hate LGBQT?
There are some queer ones that unfortunately didn't get the memo, they'll scream about how they didn't think it would be their face later
Log cabin mfers are already turning on the trans community.
Indeed they actually recently made an announcement that they no longer support trans rights. They claim to be purely LGB from now on.
Their excuse is that trans people "Go after children and are therefore no different than pedophiles."
As if Republicans don't accuse gays of going after the children too.
Because she has short hair and is wearing a hoodie?
Because shes bi
Huh, til. This website is full of cancer, so be warned if you don’t have an ad blocker
What would they be if they weren't victims?
I wish Christians got their wish.
I want America to become a godless atheisitc wasteland that considers queerness a virtue and Believing in God to be mental illness.
I want it forbidden to say Christmas or to pray in public. I want churches constantly raided by the cops and shut down for preying on children.
I want the Bible taken from all public libraries and replaced with the Quran.
Why? Because Christians want it, so badly, and I figure that if they finally get their wet dream they can cum and stop being my problem.
Persecution fetishists gonna persecution fetish.
If you ask them to persecute other people less, they'll endlessly screech about being persecuted.
What's so unhealthy is that none of it is a rock, but the very sand they warn about, how convenient, projection been going on a long time! Same with all the other supernatural systems that preceded it by thousands of years and that came after. It's a compilation of what worked best for men in power to keep it, and supernatural stories controlled people better than force alone.
Other tricks they use to keep people hooked, indoctrinate from birth, offer belonging*, simplify thinking with phrases to repeat, must say/think the right words for alleged, but no proof of later reward, fear/reward cycle, cortisol, dopamine, oxytocin, guilt/shame/blame and they are the only one that can fix it, how convenient! It's been used for so long most think it's good to not have healthy skepticism and encourage curiosity and growth, transcend the ego control. Real truth sets us free from the low-level thinking and high-control and associated unhealthy ways. Big claims require big proof as Sagan said. We are waves of one ocean made of stardust, the cosmos observing itself, for this short time, nothing after, nothing to balance the ledger of suffering now.

Accurate.
I don't understand how there are so many Christians these days. It feels like it's has a resurgence recently.
That's because Gen Z went hard on Jesus out of belief that Christianity would give them trad wives.
You mean people who call themselves Christian or people who follow the examples of Jesus?
I'm asking because I've got the impression that many of those right wing nationalists do pretty much the exact opposite of what Jesus preaches.
Most of these people think that going to church makes you Christian. In the same way that standing in my garage makes me a car.
It's actually just tribalism.
Both, but I'm thinking more so of the average person. I've been seeing more displays of it everywhere from online socials to irl. Suddenly there's more cars with Christian nonsense on them or you check profiles in what was a very left leaning space only to see bibe verses.
what would you call those whited sepulchres? even actual christians don't have a monopoly on virtue
Cool, does she stand for my equally firm belief of not being Christian? What about my rights as a pagan? Because I for one believe we should all keep our religions out of the government
So less than three minutes if you include her mouth to try and get him chubbed enough that she could pretend he could get it inside.
I apologize for the imagery.
God often works with imperfect vessels!
So long as the vessel hold liquid, it'll do.
...or did you mean one of those fake gods attempting copy of the glory of the one and true Flying Spaghetti Monster.

I don't think this guy is really a priest, but the message is still true.
I think this is the first time I've ever seen a link to something on tik tok. Well done.
