That's a great tip but also get another husband as well. You can extend this family plan until you control the country and with the actual problem of bad people gone your whole family can live happily.

[-] Malyca@lemmy.zip 3 points 1 week ago

Second husband is better, stronger and more able to help.

[-] Mouselemming@sh.itjust.works 150 points 1 week ago

Then you and the wife ditch the husband. Because that freeloader was clearly useless or you wouldn't have been exhausted.

[-] Foofighter@discuss.tchncs.de 54 points 1 week ago

And it frees up space in the relationship for another second wife.

[-] sober_monk@lemmy.world 29 points 1 week ago

I am now imagining a runaway-reaction-type situation where the removal of the husband results in the continued acquisition of more wives.

[-] bobs_monkey@lemmy.zip 16 points 1 week ago

Polygamy without the husband, or just wife pokemon

[-] Mouselemming@sh.itjust.works 5 points 1 week ago

Why stop at two? Form a coven and thrive!

[-] Formfiller@lemmy.world 8 points 1 week ago

This actually happened to my dad in the 80s swinger days. I mean my mom was a lesbian but yeah that’s how it went down

[-] dohpaz42@lemmy.world 64 points 1 week ago

Wait… this isn’t satire?

~I really can’t tell these days.~

[-] bhamlin@lemmy.world 19 points 1 week ago

I'm choosing to believe it's satire.

[-] AlteredEgo@lemmy.ml 6 points 1 week ago

It doesn't matter what it originally was. Now it's ragebait.

[-] Sidhean@piefed.social -1 points 1 week ago

Its.. you know, I figured it was satire, but I don't see the punchline.

I'm sorry. I wish I could bring us more joyful news.

[-] JustJack23@slrpnk.net 45 points 1 week ago

The obvious question is why do you need a husband then?

[-] mojofrododojo@lemmy.world 12 points 1 week ago

literally cut out the middle man lol

[-] Kolanaki@pawb.social 4 points 1 week ago
[-] BreakerSwitch@lemmy.world 24 points 1 week ago

Can get that from the right wife

[-] Wataba@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 week ago

Because the unilateral pansexual utopia is fictional.

[-] confluence@lemmy.world 40 points 1 week ago

Same could be accomplished with a second husband 🤷

While true, those same non-virtues will get in the way. Only men on average are less likely to self reflect and address them. So the pickings will be slim.

[-] eestileib@sh.itjust.works 37 points 1 week ago

Lol this guy calls himself "manofoptions".

[-] HazardousBanjo@lemmy.world 18 points 1 week ago

His options are bring a loser incel publicly, or not publicly. For some reason, he chose publicly.

[-] mojofrododojo@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

gonna have the option of sleeping at his buddy's house or finding a studio apt...

[-] sfled@lemmy.world 32 points 1 week ago

I'm all for polygyny and polyandry. Let the games begin.

[-] Skullgrid@lemmy.world 37 points 1 week ago

I love the full circle on polyamory, it's either very progressive or very conservative.

[-] OozingPositron@feddit.cl 0 points 1 week ago

Like some kind of horseshoe.

[-] athatet@lemmy.zip 3 points 1 week ago

Horseshoes aren’t circles.

[-] QueenHawlSera@piefed.social 26 points 1 week ago

This is a joke right? Because if it is it is funny.

If not.... what da fuck

[-] InternetCitizen2@lemmy.world 23 points 1 week ago

LDS recruitment is different these days

[-] HulkSmashBurgers@reddthat.com 18 points 1 week ago

Wouldn't a second (or more) husband be a solution as well?

Polyandry I think it's called? A woman with more than one husband.

Or even just polyamory?

"Three wives for every husband, three husbands for every wife." - Phlox, Star Trek: Enterprise

[-] Pacattack57@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

Its spouses all the way down!

[-] driving_crooner@lemmy.eco.br 3 points 1 week ago

That just extra work for the poor lady

[-] Nounka@lemmy.world 10 points 1 week ago

Sounds fun. But my partner will not like my bff to be also in the relation. Jimmy is not really Ralfs taste.

Even tho he irons even his undies. He can make a legend off a meatloaf. And knows how to fix the electricity. Maybe i should butter Ralf a bit up.

Tkx for the ID

[-] Donkter@lemmy.world 9 points 1 week ago

I agree with this. Therapy will either help you understand where those emotions are coming from or (more probably) help you see that your husband is not worth sticking around for if he makes you feel this way.

So the idea in general isn't sooo terrible. It's just worded all wrong. My opinion is that in any group of adults who what to have careers outside the home, they probably need someone to manage the home. Single no kids. Should be fine. Two or more adults (of any sex mind you) gunna need help to stay sane. Kids involved... even a single person needs help.

Now of course... calling it a second wife is upsurd. You need a housekeeper. And if kids are involved you need a housekeeper/nanny. Here is the catch though. If you pay them what they deserve for that hard work and endless patience. Then they are practially a spouse money wise. And of course it can be a guy or girl.

I do honestly think a more communal ish approach is best. Have several couples or even singles who prefer work outside the home to bringnin the money. Then have several who handle the home and children in a joint mannor. But alll the money is essentially pooled for the betterment of the group. Jusst keep the group small. The real problem is social dynamics get in the way a lot.

[-] TheMuffinMan@piefed.world 6 points 1 week ago

ngl, I think I'm missing why all the other commenters are crapping on this guy. It's not that offensive an idea to me?

[-] sober_monk@lemmy.world 39 points 1 week ago

The implication is that the wife is exhausted because the husband doesn't help enough in running the household. The obvious answer is that the husband should do more chores to help out. My man here suggests adding another wife, with the ultimate goal of getting laid more often.

[-] Avicenna@programming.dev 5 points 1 week ago

Why not generally defend non monogamous relations rather than just multiple wives?

[-] RaphaelSchmitz@feddit.org 0 points 1 week ago

As a man with a little relationship experience now, if a woman says she's too tired for intimacy, it usually means not the direct meaning of the words, that what she does is too much - but that what the person who wants the intimacy does is too little.

If he did chores, makes women horny as hell, wouldn't matter if she was tired or not.

[-] TheMuffinMan@piefed.world 1 points 1 week ago

This and another reply helped me understand what I was missing, thank you!

[-] ideonek@piefed.social 5 points 1 week ago

The things guys will say to not have to do their part of the household work.

Grow up and cook a meal, clean some dishes and put some washing on, I promise you can still play Fallout or watch Lex Friedman, Peterson or whatever influencer you waste your time in after you're done.

[-] Feathercrown@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

I don't think this guy has done the math for if every man needs more than one woman to survive...

[-] ParadoxSeahorse@lemmy.world -1 points 1 week ago

We can only hope this manchild got his wish. See how being outnumbered by worthwhile humans treats you boss

[-] abbotsbury@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

He's not talking about his wife.
