LIL BABY TIME
I'm not sure of the species beyond some kind of black songbird. It nested in one of the flower planters outside my office so I have been watching them since they hatched a couple weeks ago.

Definitely looks like some kind of seed-eater type of beak. Maybe some kind of grosbeak or finch. Have you seen the adults?
I only got a brief glimpse of one adult when the eggs first hatched. It wasn't a grackle which is our main black bird, nor a starling or crow. Colorado doesn't seem to have any solid black grosbeaks, while a black rosy-finch shouldn't be down below the mountains at this time of year.
